| Illegal Characters - If you use illegal characters
in any of the submission form fields - your listing will not go through! This
simply means characters such as "!&^%$()+={}[]|\<>? will cause your submission
to fail. This is due to
mod_security being run on this webserver to prevent email, form, and SQL injection
attacks, hacking attempts, and other security risks. Email Address -
If you make an error inputting your email address and use an illegal character
your submission will NOT go through.
Simply put, if your email address is sallyjoegrooming@aol.com and you type
sallyjoegrooming\@aol.com your submission will fail. This is due
to
mod_security being run on this webserver to prevent email injection attacks,
hacking attempts, and other security risks.
Website URL - We ask if you have a website you open a new browser window
and paste the URL exactly as it appears in your browser address bar (http://www.yoursite.com/).
Please do not input an incomplete URL like www.mysite.com as your site
will not be hyperlinked.
Software Conflicts - We suggest temporarily turning off programs such
as
Norton Internet Security while submitting your listing through our form.
Programs such as these are very good in most cases, but they often interfere at
the default settings when submitting forms. This not only affects sites
like ours, it affects thousands of sites on the internet as it blocks information
from being sent via website form scripting.
Problems - If you do not see your listing within 5-7 days when navigating
to the proper category location or by searching by the name of your business you
will need to submit via postal mail using this form.
This could be related to one of the reasons listed below:
- Your email address has been flagged as known spam and rejected by mod_security
- Your computer system is infected with spyware which hijacks the submission
form and sends the data elsewhere hoping to gather information such as credit
card information
- You have made an input error using illegal characters and your submission
was rejected due to mod_security
- You are using software that blocks form submission data or website scripting
Spam/Keyword Abuse - Please do not overuse keywords in your listing
description etc. This appears unprofessional to the visitors of this site
and reflects poorly on your business. DO NOT USE ALL CAPS WHEN SUBMITTING
- it reflects poorly on your business and is difficult to read for users.
Please use proper title and sentence case and check the spelling of your submission
information. We do not guarantee a listing and those submissions
which are poorly done may be rejected if we have to correct/retype your submission.
